Visual schedules are an evidence based powerful tool that can make a world of difference for children with Autism. Our visual schedules provide a clear and structured visual representation of daily activities, tasks, and routines. By incorporating visual cues, you help your child to better understand and follow instructions, fostering improved communication, cognitive development, and self-regulation skills.

With our visual schedules, you can bring predictability and structure to your child’s day, reducing anxiety and increasing their independence. Watch as their confidence grows when they navigate their daily routines with ease and ownership.

How to Use It:

  1. Print and laminate the schedule boards and small pictures that correspond to the routines.
  2. Cut out the small pictures and use velcro stickers or adhesive tack to the back of each picture.
  3. At the start of the day place the images for your child’s routine. After completing an activity, point to the picture say “All done (activity name)”. Then remove the card from the schedule and place it in a wallet or box. Then say “Next (name activity)” and point to the next activity. Repeat this sequence until you have completed the routine.

Tips for success:

Be consistent with your use of the schedule and the language you use. As your child develops they can help you put the schedule together and begin to name what they did and what they will do next. If you are using the schedule at your preschool this can be an assigned job for one of the students in the classroom. Some children can find looking at the whole day overwhelming. If that is the case with your student begin with the morning routine only and then display the afternoon.
